Terms to describe school counseling are preventive, situational, supportive, and temporary crisis counseling. In general, school counselors are not involved in long-term therapeutic counseling of the type one would seek in private counseling.<\/p><p>The counselors are available for individual sessions with students who wish to make an appointment.
