Military Kids Club<\/h4>\n

Alice B. Landrum Middle School is proud to support our military-connected students and families with a military kids club. The military kids club is designed to address the unique lifestyle of military families. Benefits to our students include easing transitions, meeting other military children who share similar circumstances, learning coping skills, and support through deployments and moving. Activities include monthly afterschool meetings, Purple UP month, and support for families; especially during deployments.<\/p>\n

Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children<\/h4>\n

As a member of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Florida recognizes the need to provide support to students of military families. Today\u2019s military children and families experience unique hardships. They move frequently and must adjust to new living environments, schools and peer groups much more than their civilian counterparts. They live through repeated cycles of separation and reunion.<\/p>\n
