As your student prepares to transition to high school, we want to remind you of the St. Johns County School District Residency & Guardianship Policy. To enroll in and attend a St. Johns County school, a student’s current permanent residence must be located within St. Johns County. This address determines the student’s assigned school zone, unless enrolled through an approved choice option. Families with shared custody may use either parent/guardian residence, with appropriate documentation.

Important: All rising 6th & rising 9th grade students are required to submit updated residency documentation prior to the start of high school.

The most efficient and preferred way to complete this requirement is through the Returning Student Verification process. This process is only available online.

  • Access the Returning Student Verification here: https://registration.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?action=45392&culture=en
  • You can find your student’s unique snapcode in a previous email sent from SJCSD with the subject line: St Johns County School District SJCSD Returning Student Verification Form (RSV) for
  • You will need to complete the RSV form for each student enrolled in SJCSD but only Rising 6th & Rising 9th will need to provide updated residency documents.

Please ensure that all documents submitted are current, valid, and clearly show your residential address.

For full details on residency requirements and acceptable documentation, please visit: https://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/student/residency/
