Dear Landrum Families,

We hope you’ve had a wonderful, relaxing summer and are getting excited for another amazing school year at Landrum Middle School! We can’t wait to welcome our Lions back and are looking forward to a fantastic 2026–2027 school year.

To preview your student’s schedule:

1. Log into your HAC account.
2. Select the Classes tab.
3. Click Schedule.

Student schedules will be available to preview in HAC on July 22nd and 23rd. As you review your student’s schedule, please keep the following in mind:

• Schedules are still being finalized. Course order and/or teachers may change as we continue balancing class rosters.
• If your student has outstanding registration requirements (residency verification, Return to School Verification (RSV), or 7th grade Tdap immunization documentation), you will not be able to view their schedule.
  • If you need to submit any required paperwork, please do so as soon as possible. Once received, please allow three business days for the information to be processed and for the schedule to become available in HAC.
  • If the required paperwork is not complete during the schedule preview window, the schedule will not be seen until all schedules are live on August 7th.

If you believe your student’s schedule contains an error, you must submit a request using the Schedule Change Request Form.

Please note:

• The form will open Wednesday, July 22 at 8:00 a.m.
• The form will close Friday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m.
• Requests submitted outside of this window cannot be accepted.
• This is the only venue through which schedule changes will be reviewed.

Schedule changes should only be made if one of the following applies:

• Your student has a class period without an assigned course.
• Your student is scheduled for a course they have already completed and passed.
• Your student has the same course listed twice on their schedule.

To ensure every request is received, documented, and reviewed fairly, the Schedule Change Request Form is the only method for requesting a scheduling correction. Requests submitted by email, phone, or any other method will not be considered.

We will be making schedule changes between the schedule preview window and Meet the Teacher. Be sure you check your schedule on the first day of school to ensure you are following the most up to date version.

Please note that requests to change elective courses will not be approved.

Mr. Barnes began his career in Pasco County, Florida, and had the unique opportunity to teach English in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He now joins the Landrum Middle School community with over a decade of experience in St. Johns County, where he has served as a teacher, dean, Coordinator of Social Emotional Learning, and assistant principal. Mr. Barnes is honored to serve the families of Landrum Middle School.

Outside of school, Mr. Barnes is a proud husband and father of two. He enjoys spending time in nature, creating memories with his family, reading, and traveling.

As your student prepares to transition to high school, we want to remind you of the St. Johns County School District Residency & Guardianship Policy. To enroll in and attend a St. Johns County school, a student’s current permanent residence must be located within St. Johns County. This address determines the student’s assigned school zone, unless enrolled through an approved choice option. Families with shared custody may use either parent/guardian residence, with appropriate documentation.

 Important: All rising 6th & rising 9th grade students are required to submit updated residency documentation prior to the start of high school.

The most efficient and preferred way to complete this requirement is through the Returning Student Verification process. This process is only available online.
