The Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida are inviting students to participate in the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest.
This year’s theme is “Celebrating Florida’s Hispanic Heritage.”
Contest Opportunities: Grades 4-12: Submit an essay in English, up to 500 words.
Prizes: Qinners receive a 2-Year Florida College Plan Scholarship and a $200 school supply gift card.
The contest is open to all Florida students, including those attending public, charter, private, virtual, and homeschool programs.
Submission Deadline: Monday, September 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET.
